Why Yoga................What is Yoga??
Yoga is simple. Yoga is stretching. In yoga we learn to ease tension and stress out of  the physical body. We also relieve mental and emotional stress, as we learn to breathe deeply.
Who can do yoga?  ANYONE!!  Yes, Anyone!
Yoga is the opposite of arthritis. Yoga helps to keep the joints and muscles healthy, fluid and flexible. Yoga is not about twisting up into a pretzel. Yoga is meant to be gentle, as you find a level for your own individuality. In yoga you do not compare yourself to anyone, you set your own pace for the unique and special person that you are. God created you perfectly, just as you are.

Most of our physical, emotional, and mental stress is held in our spine.  When we stretch the spine, a relaxed, calm sensation will nourish the entire body, mind and spirit.
Once the physical body is relaxed from the stretching, we are able to calm the mind as well. Our minds run constantly all day long. When you are able to quiet the mind from the daily “chatter", you will notice you become a more peaceful person.  When the mind is still and free of worry, we have the ability to move our spirit to a higher level of peace, love and gratitude. We trade the worry for unconditional love.  A relaxed mind is always more productive than a stressed mind, when making daily decisions, a true benefit from yoga...

In order to feel the benefit from yoga we must pass the "sore muscle stage." The stretching will eventually feel awesome and your body will crave the yoga poses.  Once this happens......... the magic begins. It is my belief that yoga combined with prayer can heal the body of any physical, mental or emotional disturbance.

Yoga to me is indescribable in words. It is only through experience that one can benefit......
